My bad, Ring of the Stalwart Protector *is* better than the Violet Signet
I dunno why I waited so long. Finally compared the rings using tankpoints and ratingbuster. There's no question the Stalwart is better. Spent the badges, now self buffing with Kings I'm 16k+ health. Not bad.
